This unforgettable trip takes you through diverse habitats, from papyrus-fringed wetlands to lush montane forests and savannah plains. Your journey begins at Mabamba Swamp, a renowned site for the rare Shoebill stork, before moving to Lake Mburo National Park, home to acacia-dwelling species like the African finfoot.

You\’ll then explore the rich forests around Kisoro and trek the bamboo zones of Mount Mgahinga National Park, where Albertine Rift endemics, such as the Rwenzori Turaco, can be found. The adventure continues in Buhoma at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its biodiversity, where you’ll search for the elusive African Green Broadbill.

Next, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where the varied landscapes support a remarkable array of species, including the African fish eagle and black bee-eater. The final leg of the journey brings you to the Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for forest specialties and wetland birds such as the Great Blue Turaco and White-spotted Flufftail.

Day 1: Pickup from the airport

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking and later drove to Buhoma


Day 6: Birding the neck and Buhoma trail


Day 7: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth via Ishasha.
